Excellent review, and interview, from Hardrock Haven. I think it's only been up 3 hours haha! hardrockhaven.net/online/2009/jim-davies-of-prodigy-and-pitchshifter/"An album as intriguing as it is innovative, “Electronic Guitar” combines rock licks and electronic grooves to a dazzling result, boasting well-honed expertise drawn from rock and dance worlds in equal measure" Sounds like a good snippet to use in your P.R., Jim

just seen the kerrang review, chuffed with that, thought they wouldnt be into it! The 'lack of vocals' comment can be explained by the fact that the album is instrumental! Nevermind..all good

Sounds like these guys are generally hard to please, but still give Jim a great review and a 7 (presumably out of 10.) www.planet-loud.com/recordreview.php?band=Jim%20Davies&title+Electronic%20Guitar&album_id=12075The early 90s saw a whole host of guitar solo albums appearing – from the likes of Steve Vai to Yngwie Malmsteen – all of them, while showing off an undeniable talent – were the musical equivalent to root canal surgery. So, it’s now 2009 and Jim Davies of Pitchshifter / The Prodigy fame, is about to inflict another lesson in fretboard wankery on an unsuspecting public. Well, one listen to Electronic Guitar shows that something in the world of instrumental albums is different this time. For a start far from being the sort of self-obsessed, egotistical musical God who put out guitar instrumental albums to show off their skills, Jim Davies is a decent bloke and Electronic Guitar is far more than just him showing off his finger dexterity. At times reminiscent of the industrial magic of Pitchshifter and at times dipping in the murky dance/rock waters of his time in the Prodigy, Jim Davies has created an instrumental album that actually doesn’t suck. While it might not be something you make a habit of listening to, his bastardization of rock, metal and dance has helped create some of the most genre-defining industrial/dance/rock music of the last decade or so and for that, it’s unsurprising that Electronic Guitar continues to show how much good people like Davies do for the creative pool in the rock scene. Electronic Guitar is probably nothing more than Davies just a collection of some of the millions of ideas he’s got swirling round in that head of his and will probably only be picked up on by Pitchshifter fans and a few of the Prodigy fans who like the band for more than just Firestarter. Either way, if this is an example of what is going around his head, it does show that the rock/dance crossover world is going to be in a healthy state for a long time yet.

Regarding your potential Live gigs, would you want to bring in other guitarists to help achieve all the parts in a live setting?
