thanks everyone, im massively proud of this album, always wanted to do one, and being on the same label as Paul Gilbert, who i idolised when learning is pretty cool!
The idea behind this came after i wrote a B-side tune for Victory pill's 'worst case scenario' single, it ended up being an instrumental but i noticed ALL the sounds were guitar generated, except the drums and bass obviously! which got me thinking...how about doing an entire album of instru guitar music using nothing but the guitar to create the sounds, so i spent a few weeks searching for new guitar toys to make it possible and bobs ya uncle. I can say hand on heart every sound was made with my guitar!
I didnt want to do a 'shred' type guitar album as people like Paul Gilbert have that side of things well covered, mine is a moody electronic based album, with a bit of shred when the mood took me, but my main concern was to make a guitar album that would be listen'able and enjoy'able for non-guitarists as well as fellow axemen. The challenge was to make it interesting as with no vocals theres the danger that it might have been boring!! but i don't think it is. Im doing a feature in Total guitar in the next issue for the album.
Anyway, i really hope you like it and please buy the real thing! i want to do another album so this one needs to sell!! Any questions anyone may have when youve heard the album feel free to fire away, im going to put up a few tunes on my myspace later today, BTW the myspace is in the process of being done up so excuse its sparseness! jimmy d over and out

Thanks for that! Ive actually just replaced 'Rubicon' with another tune from the album on my myspace as that was an older version of 'Rubicon' Touring this album is potentially a nightmare as theres soooo many guitar parts! but im going to some guitar seminars for sure this year and possibly some of the guitar shows, ill let you know j

Pre-ordered my copy too.
As I have stated before you have been a HUGE influence on my guitar playing, especially your late work (PSI the album and Victory Pill which I bought twice!, one to have at home and one for my car).
Great news to hear you have this instrumental album, I really can't wait to listen to it.

That solo on Empire at 2:19 is freaking sweet!. The main riff on hotshot is stupid good too!
This is the exact kind of music I have been craving for. Well done Jim, this is quality stuff.
